CA-27 Update: Mike Garcia sides with MAGA extremists in Congress. Votes to censure Rep. Adam Schiff.

Yesterday, House Republicans put up a bill to censure Democratic Rep. Adam Schiff for daring to hold Donald Trump accountable. The bill, spearheaded by MAGA extremists, also threatened to fine him $16 million.
The bill failed thanks to twenty Republicans who joined with Democrats in stopping this measure. It’s encouraging that many in the GOP saw this for what it was: political retribution and a distraction from Trump’s legal perils.
But not my Republican opponent, Mike Garcia. He sided with MAGA extremists and voted for the censure.
It’s no secret that Trump’s been directing his allies in Congress to sow chaos to distract from his own indictment and arrest. Rep. Garcia is perfectly willing to answer that call to action. It’s disappointing, but it’s exactly what we’ve come to expect from him -- partisan games in Washington, and nothing to show for it back home.
