Some highlights from our discussion: -
The photo ID requirement will apply to all elections going forward, beginning with municipal elections this fall. However, the list of college and university IDs and state and local government employee IDs that will be accepted has not been released yet, making it even more confusing for people to know if they need to get a new ID now.

VoteRiders is reaching out to new voters who will need to be informed that registering to vote is only the first step — confirming that they have an acceptable photo ID will be critical to their ability to vote.

VoteRiders is also working with longtime voters who have never had to show an ID to vote before, to be sure they know what they need to bring with them to the polls.
