Number of federal charges brought against every other former president in U.S. history: zero.

There has always been bitter partisanship. There has always been political grandstanding. There has always been loose talk of retribution when power changes hands.

But only Donald Trump — out of all the men who have served as President of the United States since our nation’s founding — flouted the law so egregiously that federal charges were all but required to uphold the rule of law itself.*

The charging evidence shows:

Donald Trump took classified documents that he was not entitled to keep. And not just a few. And not by accident.

He refused to give them back. Multiple times.

Trump hid documents and deceived investigators about the documents he had.

Yet ...

Many Republican leaders — in Congress, in governors’ mansions, and even among Trump’s rivals for his party’s nomination — are STILL defending the man and parroting lies about the case against him.

Tell Republicans refusing to denounce Trump’s inexcusable actions:

Stop defending the indefensible. You know this was wrong, whatever phony justifications and legalistic excuses Trump concocts. This one is easy — just say it’s wrong.
