Disinformation activists (including Steve’s former opponent) want to make it harder for states to exchange information to help clean up their voter rolls. These exchanges are especially valuable when people have moved from state to state, and they help to ensure that people don’t vote in more than one place.
Recently, The New York Times shed light on a chorus of conspiracy theorists who falsely claim that the organization responsible for these information exchanges enables "left-wing activists" to control voter rolls in participating states. Even Republican Secretaries of State in Florida, Iowa, and Texas have recognized the immense value of this organization, calling it a "godsend."
Unfortunately, due to growing political pressure from these conspiracy theorists, some states have withdrawn - making their own voter rolls less secure.
We are actively pushing against disinformation, but we need your support to continue our important work. Can you please chip in $5 or more right now to help us combat these harmful narratives and safeguard the integrity of our elections?
