Activist,

When President Biden took office in 2021, U.S. climate
policy was in shambles, thanks to Donald Trump's ruinous legacy
of climate denialism and fealty to fossil fuels. The Trump
administration set the country back a generation or more on the
existential environmental challenge of our time, and Republicans
will do it again if they get the chance.

Biden responded with a clear vision and concerted
statesmanship to deliver a climate triple-play of historic clean
energy investment, limits on carbon pollution from vehicles, and
new standards to clean up dirty power plants.

He's earned the chance to finish this critical work in a
second term, which is why I'm proud to announce our endorsement
of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris in the 2024 presidential election.

In little more than two years, President Biden has turned
the United States from a climate laggard into a climate leader,
setting the table for essential cuts in the greenhouse gas
emissions that are warming the planet.

He needs a second term to ensure proper implementation of
the $370 billion of strategic climate and clean energy
investments in the Inflation Reduction Act Biden signed into law
last August.

We haven't agreed with every decision he's made. Approving
the Willow oil project in Alaska was a mistake. We've said so,
and NRDC is making its case in federal court.

But the fact is the United States was a climate laggard
when Biden took office in 2021. Today it's a climate leader. To
make sure we build on those gains, and don't retreat from them,
the country needs a second Biden term.

Republicans have fought Biden's climate efforts tooth, nail
and hair. Not one — in the House or Senate — voted for the
climate and clean energy investments in the Inflation Reduction
Act. Biden stood strong to protect those investments once more
when House extremists tried to cut them as part of the debt
ceiling negotiations that wrapped up early this month.

It's not just Trump. Every single GOP candidate for
president right now would throw the country's hard-won climate
gains into hard reverse, condemning our children to cascading

happen.

Biden has made climate action a centerpiece of his
presidency, creating a world of possibility and promise that was
scarcely imaginable before he took office. He's positioned the
United States to achieve its climate goals, urged others to do
the same, and provided desperately needed climate aid to those
who need it most.

None of that will happen if Biden's opponent wins.

For everyone who grasps the stakes in this existential
fight, Joe Biden is the clear choice for 2024. The country is
counting on him to take the climate fight to the next level in a
second term — and he can count on our support.
