Hey John —
I had an extra few minutes this morning, so I wanted to share some thoughts with you.
Here’s the truth:
No matter why you are reading this, I am thankful for you.
People like me don’t often make it to Congress.
I’m the son of Latino immigrants, who, with my three sisters, was raised by my single mother. I was the first in my family to attend college, cleaning the toilets of my classmates to make it work, and I joined the Marine Corps after graduating and went to Iraq.
The only reason I am here is because of the support I’ve had along the way.
As a kid, the support from my family.
In combat, the support of my fellow Marines.
In these campaigns, support from people like you.
But now I have a new mission: replacing Kyrsten Sinema and working to expand voting rights, protect abortion rights, take on drug companies and hedge fund managers, and be a voice and a vote for working people in the Senate.
I need your help. So please:
Can you split a $5 contribution between my re-election campaign and Fight for Progress? This month has been tough on fundraising, and I need your help to get things back on track before it’s too late.

Thank you in advance for chipping in. It means a lot.
