Hi John, it's Jacky Rosen. My work in the Senate has always been defined by who I am and where I come from – so if you'll give me just a moment, I want to share a little bit about my story.

I grew up in a working-class family as the granddaughter of immigrants and the daughter of a World War II veteran. I was the first in my family to graduate from college. I worked multiple jobs – including as a cocktail waitress at Caesars Palace – and took out student loans to help make ends meet.

Now, I'm humbled to fight for hardworking families like mine in the Senate. But I'm running for reelection, and I need your help: Experts from FiveThirtyEight to The Washington Post predict that this race could decide Senate control – and a new poll shows me 2 points down.
