In scenes that usually play out on state-owned television in countries like Cuba, Venezuela, China and Russia, on Tuesday, the Biden administration officially arrested a political opponent and the leading candidate for the Republican nomination for President of the United States – as the 45th President – President Donald Trump, pled “not guilty” during an arraignment hearing in Miami’s Federal Courthouse earlier in the day for charges alleging he mishandled his own classified documents.

The indictment and arrest of President Trump on 37 felony charges is yet another example of the Biden administration weaponizing federal agencies to take out a political enemy.

Former US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton lied and misled federal authorities about her mishandling of classified information, even destroying the evidence. And what was the outcome? No charges.

President Joe Biden mishandled classified information when he was vice president, storing highly sensitive documents at his downtown Washington, DC think tank and in his garage at home. And what was the outcome? No charges.

A search of former Vice President Mike Pence’s home uncovered classified information from his time as vice president, and what was the outcome? No charges.

It’s no wonder a majority of Americans do not trust our legal system – it’s rigged against anyone who is not part of the Washington establishment.

On Tuesday evening – only hours after surrendering in a Miami federal courthouse, President Trump delivered a prime time speech from his private club in Bedminster, New Jersey – where he resides during the summer months.

Illinois Review Publisher Scott Kaspar, and a member at Trump’s properties, was on hand for the big speech, and went live on Illinois Review’s Facebook page ([link removed]) to cover the prime time address from a reserved seat in the front row.

The guest list was a who’s who among the former president’s orbit, including My Pillow CEO Mike Lindell; former NYC Police Commissioner Bernard Kerik; Ambassador Richard Grenell; and US Senator Tommy Tuberville.

During his speech, Trump called special prosecutor Jack Smith “Deranged Jack Smith,” saying “he’s a behind-the-scenes guy, but his record is absolutely atrocious. He does political hit jobs.”

Smith was the prosecutor in the case against former Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell – a case that made it all the way to the US Supreme Court, where the justices unanimously reversed the lower court’s decision in an
8-0 vote ([link removed]) – in a dramatic and devastating blow to Smith and his team of federal prosecutors.

The case and subsequent decision even inspired liberal justice
Stephen Breyer ([link removed]) to conclude that “the uncontrolled power of criminal prosecutors is a threat to our separation of powers.”

MSNBC and CNN chose not to cover Trump’s speech, instead opting to discuss the arraignment earlier in the day.

CNN’s
Jake Tapper ([link removed]) , during live TV explained that the network would not be covering Trump’s speech because “he says a lot of things, frankly, that are not true and sometimes potentially dangerous.”

Fox News, Newsmax and Illinois Review covered the speech in its entirety.

Best birthday wishes to the 45th President!
