My friend,



It's no secret or surprise that many universities around our country tend to
lean more liberal.What was a surprise, however, was learning that the
University of Minnesota was offering an internship program that was only open
to non-white students!



As an alumnus of the University of Minnesota, I was both frustrated and
disappointed when I heard about this. Not only does this violate the Civil
Rights Act of 1964 by discriminating based on race, but it fosters a divisive
atmosphere on campus.Nobody should be excluded from academic opportunities
because of their demographics.

Luckily, after outside pressure, the University removed racial requirements
for this internship,but this should have never happened in the first place.
