Hey John,

Did you see the pictures coming out of Miami yesterday at Donald Trump’s arrest? And then did you see the MAGA spin on it?

Donald Trump is now the first President to have federal charges against him (37 to be exact), and yesterday was a complete circus.

If you can chip in to help defend our democracy from MAGA extremists, I’ll leave a link here.

I get Trump wanting to divert attention from the facts of the case since they are incredibly damning (I recommend you read the whole indictment). But what I’m more disgusted with is my Republican colleagues' reactions. Kevin McCarthy and Jim Jordan have been all over FOX news defending Trump. Another Republican Congressman even tweeted calling for a civil war. And I won’t even start with Marjorie Taylor Greene’s push to defund the Department of Justice.

It’s never been clearer we have to take back the House majority to defend our democracy from these extremists. My seat is on the frontline of this fight. If we don’t win, these extremists will continue to threaten our democracy.
