John,

Have you heard of intersectionality*? It's the idea that a person's identity and experiences -- for example, gender, race, education, or degree of wealth -- intersect in ways that shape every part of their life.

In other words: our diverse identities and experiences combined make us who we are.

That means that when one of our fundamental freedoms is under attack, all of our fundamental freedoms are under attack. As we're seeing abortion rights disappear nationwide, we're also seeing an explosion of laws meant to deny LGBTQ+ Americans (especially kids) their right to live safe, healthy, and happy lives. This is not a coincidence.

That's why today we're launching the Loud and Proud Fund. We've set a goal to raise $150,000 to help us fight for our right to be who we are, love who we love, and start our families if, when, and how we want to. Can you donate any amount now to be part of it, John?

We named this the Loud and Proud Fund because, at EMILYs List, we won't back down. We know that electing Democratic pro-choice women everywhere means better outcomes for all of us. And, electing women who will fight for the right to choose means electing more leaders who want more rights, more self-determination, and more freedom.

And you better believe we are ready to get loud to help make that happen.

Today is Launch Day for our Loud and Proud Fund. Don't miss the chance to be part of this movement. Donate today:
