What's your background?

I'm a first-generation Mexican American, proud to have been raised in the borderlands by a single mom. She taught me the value of hard work, and that's the same work ethic I bring to representing the people of New Mexico in Congress.

Why did you run for Congress?

Working for Senator Martin Heinrich, and as a city councilor in Las Cruces, I saw first-hand how rising costs, lack of investment in our rural communities, and a backward tax system were hurting our families. My U.S. Representative wasn’t doing anything about it, so I ran and won.

Why should I donate to YOUR race?

I flipped this seat blue by only 1,350 votes last year – making me one of, if not THE most, competitive incumbent Democrats in the House. My opponent is a far-right extremist who supports a total abortion ban, wants to deport Dreamers, and voted against certifying the 2020 presidential election results. I really can't overstate how close this race will be, and what’s at stake.

How will my donation make a difference?

This is a people-powered campaign, every contribution makes a difference. Whether it’s $5, or $500, every dollar helps us fund the massive Get Out The Vote program we need to protect this toss up seat.
