It's Flag Day, John, Today commemorates the day that our great nation adopted the stars and stripes that make up the American flag. It's the adopted flag of my parents, who immigrated from Portugal to America to make a better life for themselves. It's the flag I now serve in Congress. 🇺🇸 I am proud of this country, what it stands for, and what Americans have accomplished throughout history. Sadly, far-left activists have made patriotism a dirty word. Bitter division and toxic indoctrination have fewer people than ever saying they're proud to be American. A recent Gallup Poll showed a record low 38% of Americans are proud to be an American. What about you, John: Are you proud to be an American? |
P.S.: Also don't forget that in addition to Flag Day, June 14th is also the officially recognized US Army Birthday. So to our soldiers out there, thank you for your service and happy birthday! |
