I just took a look at the early voting numbers in Virginia’s primaries, team, and I have to say, I like what I’m seeing.

Democrats have had fantastic turnout so far, reporting thousands more early ballots than Republicans for both the House of Delegates and the Virginia Senate. The thing is, we know that GOP voters are less likely to vote early and will undoubtedly have a massive turnout on Election Day.

So we need to do everything we can to keep up the momentum and continue getting out the vote for the Democratic candidates in the Commonwealth. Can you support my work to make sure the General Assembly is under Democratic control this November by chipping in anything you can today?

Turnout in the primaries is a solid proxy for the general election in the fall. So while I’m encouraged by these early voting numbers, I don’t want us to get complacent.

We have to put in the work now to make sure Democrats across VA – who’ve made an unwavering commitment to protecting the right to vote, fighting for climate change, and safeguarding a woman’s right to choose – win in November.
