 NJYD JUNE 2023 NEWSLETTER!

We are excited to share this month's upcoming events with you! Please see below for information on events, highlights, and updates.

Pride Month

June marks a time of joy, unity, and empowerment as we come together to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community and acknowledge the ongoing fight for equality. Pride Month serves as a vibrant reminder of the progress we have made and the work that still lies ahead. As we celebrate Pride Month, let us remember the importance of continuing the fight for equality beyond the month of June. Let's listen to the voices of those who have been marginalized and oppressed, and actively work towards building a world that embraces and celebrates the beautiful diversity of human identity. Together, we can create a future where everyone can live authentically and love without limitations. Happy Pride Month!

June Young Dem of the Month

Congratulations to our June Young Dem of the Month, Samantha Minchello! This month, the NJYD delegation will head to the Young Democrats of America Convention, and we are proud to have Samantha as our Delegation Chair and National Committeewoman! She also serves as the YDA Mid-Atlantic Regional Deputy Director and the President of the Monmouth County Young Democrats. Her dedication is further showcased by being on the Young Professionals Committee for the Jersey Shore Partnership.

Samantha is President & CEO of Maidenstone Strategies, a political and governmental consulting firm based out of Monmouth County. Previously, she served as the Executive Director of the Monmouth County Democrats and now works in governmental affairs for the New Jersey State Funeral Directors Association, Inc. Samantha also previously served in the Murphy Administration as an Aide to the Governor, handling intergovernmental affairs. Samantha holds a B.A. from Montclair State University and a Master’s in Public Administration from Rutgers University.

While her professional accomplishments are impressive, Samantha's devotion to her family is equally remarkable. She cherishes her time spent with her two kids, Carter and Cassie, and their bond serve as a reminder of the importance of balancing personal and professional pursuits.

Congratulations again, Samantha! Your outstanding leadership, dedication, and unwavering commitment to the Democratic Party make us proud to have you on our team!
