Hi there,

Last week my colleague Misty Buswell reached out about the deteriorating situation in northwest Syria. Her note is below and there's some new and pressing information we wanted to share.

We're now estimating that there are 800,000 people in the firing line. If this many flee, it'll be the largest displacement we've seen since the start of the war nine years ago. These families, and many others facing crises around the world, are terrified, freezing and need our help.

We're on the ground saving lives in Syria and other countries affected by war. Please help us reach as many people as possible by making an urgent donation today. Your gift will support our work in Syria and in other crisis areas around the world, including Yemen, Afghanistan and South Sudan.

Thanks so much,

Emily Martin

Folks,

We’re hearing reports from the ground that thousands of people, the majority of them women and children, are fleeing for their lives from southern Idlib in Syria.

With the main highways cut off because of the fighting, there are no safe routes and people are being forced to make dangerous journeys in treacherous winter conditions through the mountains to seek safety. So many children are freezing and facing deprivation.

Just last week, an ambulance we support was damaged in an airstrike that hit a hospital in southern Idlib and is now out of service. The week prior, an entire fleet of ambulances we support had to relocate from the area around Maaret an Numan because of the insecurity which has been intensifying.

The situation is deteriorating by the day. More civilians are dying. Friend, please donate what you can today. Your donation will help families trapped in and around Syria, and in conflict zones around the world.

The pain and terror Syrians and others caught in humanitarian crises around the world are experiencing needs to end. No one should have to experience this.

In solidarity and humanity,

Misty Buswell
