DACA Comment Closing 6/20, Public Charge Letter Extended
Dear John,
As you may remember, we have 3 open sign-on letters where you can support benefits and protections for immigrant families. Our comment supporting the proposed regulation to improve health care access for people with DACA will close next Tuesday, June 20 . The HHS proposal would provide health care for nearly 130,000 people with DACA.
We’re also extending the deadline for signatures on our organizational sign-on letter opposing a congressional resolution to reverse the Biden public charge regulation. We have more time than expected before the U.S. House of Representatives votes, and we’re hoping to build even more opposition to this attack on immigrant families.
We anticipate that the LIFT the BAR Act – legislation that would improve safety net access for immigrant families – will be introduced any day now. We will close the sign-on letter supporting this legislation shortly after the bill is introduced.
Every additional signatory helps us send a stronger message to policymakers, and we welcome organizations from every state. But there are a few states in which we have yet to get a signatory: Alaska, Delaware, Mississippi, North Dakota, and Wyoming . Those states are our most urgent priority right now.
Please use the button below to learn more and sign-on your organization on to all three letters today!
