We all strive for a world where our voices are heard, where we can participate in society safely, and where we can access the information we need to make informed decisions. But in Kenya a complex set of challenges prevents people from fully enjoying these rights.

Complex challenges require holistic solutions. That’s why we're excited to introduce PROTECT (Protecting Rights, Openness and Transparency, Enhancing Civic Transformation): a diverse coalition working to build a free, open, and inclusive Kenya.
PROTECT

United in our conviction that we are stronger together, PROTECT empowers civil society organisations, human rights defenders, and journalists throughout Kenya to build an independent democratic society.

We collaborate with partners ranging from the government and police to local radio stations and women’s community groups – because diverse challenges require diverse solutions.
