Hello, and welcome to Diabetes Week 2023, John! |
Diabetes doesn't stop, but neither do you. Whether you’re living with diabetes or supporting someone who does – you’re juggling the ups and downs, facing diabetes head on and not letting it hold you back.
Morning blood sugar. Counting carbs. HbA1c. Blood pressure. The numbers can feel relentless, and we know that this can be overwhelming, so we’d like to remind you that we’re here to support you through our Helpline.
This Diabetes Week, we’re celebrating everything that makes you, you. Because you’re so much more than your numbers.
With the right tech, keeping on top of those numbers doesn’t need to feel like a battle. And that can be life-changing. That’s why, this Diabetes Week, we’re also fighting for everyone to have access to the diabetes tech they’re eligible for – no matter who they are or where they live.
So, John, will you add your voice to our Diabetes Tech Can’t Wait campaign? |

Introducing our brand-new podcast: Diabetes Discussions.
Each episode, our resident host Jack Woodfield, who has lived with diabetes for over 30 years, will be speaking to people who know first-hand what life with diabetes is really like - including famous faces like Roxy Horner and Nikita Kuzmin. So far, we’ve discussed living with diabetes, tackled sport and exercise - and this week's episode, which you can listen to on Thursday, is all about diabetes technology. Three brilliant guests join us to explore the world of technology - the benefits it can bring, and the challenges around making it available to everyone who needs it.

CGM for young people with type 2 |
NICE have recommended the use of continuous glucose monitoring tech for some young people with type 2 diabetes. CGM is already recommended for everyone living with type 1, and some adults with type 2. This is the first time the technology has been recommended for young people living with type 2 and we’re excited that this life-changing tech could soon be available to even more people who need it.
