Last week, Ben Carson ad-libbed in his remarks introducing Trump in North Carolina that Trump “is not a racist” because “the people who drive the cars and park the cars at Mar-a-Lago, they love him.”

Carson went on to say that when Trump “bought Mar-a-Lago, he was the one who fought for Jews and blacks to be included in the clubs that were trying to exclude them.”

Donald Trump -- who referred to African nations as “s--thole countries,” called Nazis “very fine people” after the attack in Charlottesville, and told four American congresswomen of color to “go back” to the countries they “came from” -- first made national news in the 1970s, when the Department of Justice sued him for racial discrimination against black tenants.

The New York Times reported last week that Trump is targeting minority voters in order to win re-election in November, so we need to know where engaged Democrats stand today:
