In an election cycle with so much on the line, control of Congress could come down to big ticket races in Southern California -- most prominently Will's in CA-41.

That means the future of reproductive rights, Medicare and Social Security, voting rights and LGBTQ+ protections could come down to what happens in our race. The good news is there are a lot of reasons to feel good about Will's rematch against Ken Calvert.

» Democrats now hold a +3,000 registration advantage in CA-41. This seat is no longer the reliably-red, GOP stronghold Calvert has enjoyed for nearly three decades. That's a big reason why National Democrats listed CA-41 as one of the “top offensive targets” in our shared effort to retake the House.

» Will was the #1 challenger in California relative to President Biden’s performance in 2020. That's an encouraging sign when you consider Democratic turnout was only at about 50%, compared to Republican turnout at about 60% in 2022. With President Biden back on the ballot, and larger Democratic turnout expected, that could be enough to push us over the top.

» Will was the only Democratic challenger in California to win Independents in 2022. That's huge, and it's a testament to Will's unifying message. It also says a lot about how poorly Ken Calvert is seen among traditional swing voters.

We need to flip five seats to retake Congress, and how we perform here in CA-41 could be the tipping point.
