Last week, the Lehigh Valley had the worst air quality in the country. Many areas were under a “Hazardous” rating on the Air Quality Index for over 24 hours.

Across the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions, hundreds of people were suffering from the effects of the Canadian wildfires that brought in dangerous levels of smoke and debris.

This is a stark reminder that climate change is real and we’re seeing the effects of it on a daily basis. If we don’t act soon, we’ll cause irreversible damage for generations to come.

But Republicans refuse to take action. They’ll do anything to protect their wealthy corporate donors.
