Deadly Russian Aerial Attack

Ukrainian officials said at least 11 people were killed and 28 injured on Tuesday in a strike that hit buildings in Kryvyi Rih, a city already reeling from the Kakhovka dam disaster, as the NYT reports.

Inflation Cut in Half

Inflation fell in May to around half last year’s peak but remained elevated, showing Federal Reserve officials made progress in cooling price pressures but could have more work to do, as the WSJ reports.

NATO Talks in Washington

President Biden met with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg on Tuesday afternoon amid a host of issues confronting the alliance, including the ongoing war in Ukraine and potential membership for Sweden, as The Washington Post reports.
