John, for many children living in poverty in rural America, summer isn’t a fun break from school – it’s three months of being cut off and left behind, often with lifelong consequences.



This affects kids’ academic success, physical development, mental health and more. It’s not fair, and it’s a problem we can – and must – fix together. 



This summer, we’re raising awareness on the challenges millions of kids in rural America are facing and how we can address them together. And we put together this digital photo essay, so we hope you’ll take a moment to check it out now.
