Here are some legislation updates you may have missed.

• U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) and Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D-Wash.) reintroduced a bill to overhaul the nation's judicial ethics laws. The bill would impose a code of conduct on the U.S. Supreme Court, the only federal court not bound by an ethics code.

• The Rhode Island Legislature passed a bill permitting 17-year-olds to vote in primary elections if they'll be 18 before the corresponding general election. The legislation now goes to Gov. Here’s what happened in the courts today and yesterday.

• Black voters asked the U.S. Supreme Court to review a previously dismissed lawsuit challenging Arkansas' congressional map. The voters argue that the map violates the U.S. and Arkansas Constitutions and Section 2 of the Voting Rights Act. This lawsuit is the first case with Section 2 claims to be appealed to the Supreme Court since the Court issued its landmark ruling in Allen v. Milligan last Thursday. 

• In Idaho, there was a hearing in a state lawsuit challenging Idaho's new law that eliminates student IDs as an acceptable form of identification to vote.

• In Mississippi, there was a hearing on the state's new law that limits who can assist voters with disabilities return their mail-in ballots. Several groups are asking the court to block the law as the lawsuit continues.

Here’s what to expect coming up.

• Tomorrow at 10:30 a.m. EDT, there will be a hearing in a federal lawsuit challenging New Mexico’s ability to criminally prosecute a group for violating New Mexico statutes that protect voter data.
