Friend, as we approach the 11th anniversary of DACA, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on the incredible movement and people power it took to achieve one of the greatest civil rights victories of this century.

Winning DACA did not happen overnight — it was years in the making. June 15th represents the culmination of years of advocacy, rallies, and courageous activism led by immigrant youth across the country who kept fighting for justice:

In the years leading up to DACA and in the years after it was announced, as politicians have tried to kill it, we have fought vigorously alongside immigrant youth to advance their rights and dreams. Together, we have persevered with resilience, unity, and determination.

Now, as we face yet another politically motivated attempt to upend DACA, we must use this moment to rally together, leverage our collective voices, and fight for our ultimate goal: a permanent solution which will provide a pathway to citizenship for immigrant youth.

Folks, looking ahead to DACA’s 11th anniversary on Thursday, join us in sending a message to Congress that young immigrants in this country have lived in limbo for too long, and we refuse to wait any longer. It is on Congress to take decisive action and pass a pathway to citizenship without delay >>>

TAKE ACTION

Thank you for standing alongside NILC in advocating for the rights and dignity of immigrant youth. Together, we can harness the same people power that brought us DACA 11 years ago and use it to create lasting change.

Your unwavering support and dedication have played a vital role in this journey, and we are truly grateful for your continued commitment to justice.
