John, - just like that, the radical factions of the GOP have become even more emboldened.
Law and order means nothing.
State secrets means nothing.
The security of our intelligence officials across the globe means nothing.
With this will come a surge of dark money...an amount that we have not witnessed prior to a Presidential Election.
And guess where Donald Trump is heading after his arraignment? Straight to a fundraiser.
At this point, it is clear what direction the GOP nomination is headed. If the 2024 General Election is between Trump and Biden, then Trump has a HUGE advantage in fundraising. He has cable news desperate to prop him back up for ratings at the expense of America, much like in 2016.
Today will be good for Trump. It will benefit the GOP and make their money in the worst possible way: emboldened, aggressive, and to defend Donald Trump.
As Democrats, we cannot celebrate today. We must work harder than ever before. We need to remind the American people that the Presidency is not a reality television show, and it is not about one man. The Presidency is about the direction of an entire nation, what that nation stands for, and the principles that the country relies on. That is what the Presidency reflects. That is what we are defending daily. That is what we are asking you to support.
John: Now is the time to build donor support and a grassroots infrastructure than can keep us on track against Trump and the MAGA-GOP.
