This month, ranked choice voting (RCV) will be used in two of the nation’s most influential jurisdictions, introducing leaders and lawmakers to this powerful reform. RCV means better choices, better campaigns, and better representation, and it ensures no vote is wasted. It’s no surprise that everywhere it’s used, voters like it and prefer it to single-choice voting.
On June 20, Arlington, Virginia – right across the Potomac River from our nation’s capital – will hold its first-ever proportional RCV primary. It’s already making headlines across the capital region.
On June 27, New York City – home to over eight million people – will hold RCV primaries for the second time.
