Friends, we like to be transparent when it comes to our fundraising. So we thought we would share that last month we actually sent you fewer emails than we planned to. Shocking, we know!

That’s because we set a fundraising goal at the start of the month of May, and after the first two weeks it was clear we were going to hit the goal without an extra push.

And that’s really how we make these decisions. We do a majority of our fundraising over email, so we only reach out to you when we feel we have to, because we know you probably get a ton of emails like these in your inbox every week.

So here’s the deal: June is an FEC deadline month, which means at the end of the month, our fundraising numbers for April, May and June will all be made public for everyone to see.

We’ve set an ambitious goal for this deadline because it’s crucial that we can show the far-right, the media, and everyone else that we have a groundswell of grassroots support for our movement for progressive change. We can only hit that goal by sending emails like these to our biggest supporters.

But if this team steps up right now, and we get on track to hit our goal early like we did last month, then we can send you fewer emails again in the coming weeks. And we think that’s something that everyone agrees would be a great thing.
