Hi John,
June is LGBTQ+ Pride Month in the U.S., and people will be celebrating in many places around the world. But things feel different this year. We're seeing more and more countries around the world, including Uganda and the United States, introduce legislation that turns the clock backwards on human rights. These deeply unpopular and harmful laws are not about freedom, or fighting discrimination, or making the world a better place. They are being enacted to control bodies. Period.

They are not backed by science or medical recommendations.

They cause people to lose their health, autonomy and lives.
For more than a decade, Ipas has been working to research, mitigate, and share information about the multiple ways anti-rights actors are undermining gender justice, LGBTQ+ rights and access to sexual and reproductive health and rights, including abortion.
