Tomorrow, the Energy & Commerce Subcommittee on Health is set to
hold a hearing in the U.S. House of Representatives on the Women's
Health Protection Act of 2019. This critical piece of federal
legislation would protect access to abortion by safeguarding against
the increasingly extreme state-level restrictions that delay and
obstruct access to care.

This is a big moment in the fight for reproductive rights, and

Since 2011, nearly 450 medically unnecessary laws have been pushed
through state legislatures to delay access to abortion care, shame
women, and close clinics. As a result, in large parts of this country
the right to access abortion under Roe exists only in theory. Pushing
