Team — Despite their recent effort to rewrite history, anyone paying attention knows that my Republican colleagues in Congress have tried, again and again, to cut Social Security and Medicare.

And make no mistake: they are still trying to gut these vital benefits that millions of Americans depend on for a dignified retirement.

In fact, Kevin McCarthy admitted that it was President Biden who prevented Republicans from making cuts to Social Security and Medicare during the recent debt ceiling crisis.

Team, McCarthy and his allies are so extreme that it’s a safe bet they will continue to try to cut Social Security and Medicare at the next opportunity. I’m going to do everything I can to stop them, but I can’t win this fight on my own. It’s going to take all of us.
