Friend, I wanted to take this opportunity to re-introduce myself to you. My name is Birk Wilkison, and I’m proud to serve the Texas Democratic Party as Interim Executive Director. As Texas Democrats, we all strive every day to advocate for hope, progress, and equity in every corner of our state. At TDP headquarters, we put in the hard work necessary to support our courageous candidates and bold county parties so we can have a fighting chance at winning in 2024.
I have been on the job for about two months now, and one of the very first lessons I learned when I started was the importance of recurring contributions from donors like yourself. Recurring contributions of every size keep us hard at work, even when fundraising becomes a challenge during odd numbered years. From engaging with voters, to training local party leaders and supporting our Democratic candidates, and spreading our Democratic message across the state, every task we undertake is made possible by your generosity. We aren’t the party of the wealthy and powerful -- we are fueled by regular people chipping in what they can on a monthly basis.
