Friend,
Last week, Americans across the country were breathing in some of the most polluted air in the world due to climate change-fueled wildfires. The same pollutant—particulate matter—that made it dangerous for New Yorkers and Michiganders to step outside their homes is also being spewed out of vehicle tailpipes every day. By poisoning the air we breathe, transportation pollution is literally killing people—and disproportionately in low-income communities and communities of color.
But, there's good news: EPA can regulate this kind of pollution from some of the worst offenders: medium and heavy-duty trucks. Tell EPA to lock in the strongest possible standards now.

Today is the last day to get your comment to us, so we can deliver it directly to decision-makers. We all deserve clean air to breathe, and we need strong emission standards to fight climate pollution and protect public health. This is our chance—let's take it. |
Sincerely, Rachel Patterson Deputy Policy Director
