Today, we kick off our Future of Open day of giving. And we’re asking you to make a donation to Creative Commons. 

If you didn’t already know, Creative Commons is the nonprofit organization behind the CC licenses and public domain tools. These licenses are an alternative to traditional copyright, providing a free, simple, and standardized way to share, use, and build on others’ work. 

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has taken the world by storm, and we’re asking what this means for the future of the commons. Over the past few weeks, we have explored the possibilities, limitations, and threats surrounding copyright and AI, but these discussions are far from over.

That’s why we need you, John, to make sure Creative Commons is a part of high-stakes conversations like these. We’ve already raised over $1,000. Would you be willing to donate $50 to bring us closer to our $50,000 goal?
