This time last year, Liz Shuler and Fred Redmond were elected by AFL-CIO Convention delegates as president and secretary-treasurer.

It’s been a busy year. The Center for Transformational Organizing brought together unions from all across the AFL-CIO, in every sector of the economy. We’ve expanded the Organizing Institute. We’ve established the AFL-CIO Sports Council. The list goes on.

Now we begin year two as we set out to build a bigger, stronger labor movement.

That means bringing the power of a union to every single household in America. It means making sure that everyone understands the union difference—access to paid sick days, retirement benefits and more.

Not only that—unions help combat structural inequality. Learn more about our plans to rebuild America on our terms.

Everybody in, nobody out.
