“The U.S. Army sent a convoy of about 40 vehicles from Iraq to Syria in another
sign of support for the terrorist group PKK terrorist group’s Syrian offshoot
YPG. The convoy arrived in Hassakeh, a city controlled by the terrorists, on
Sunday, the same day the terrorist group fired rockets toward Türkiye on the
Turkish-Syrian border, targeting a police station. Anadolu Agency (AA) reported
that the convoy entered Hassakeh through the al-Waleed border crossing. The
convoy, which dropped by military bases and other U.S. military-related venues
in rural parts of Hassakeh, consists of fuel tankers and trucks loaded with
munitions. The U.S. left its bases in the region after Türkiye launched its
Peace Spring operation in October 2019 against PKK/YPG, concentrating its
military near oil fields. It, however, maintained its support to the terrorist
group under the guise of a joint fight against Daesh, another terrorist group.
U.S. forces are active in Hassakeh, Raqqa and Deir ez-Zor, in areas occupied by
the terrorist group and continuously send supplies to those areas."

The National: Iraq Calls For Closure Of Al Hol Camp For ISIS Suspects In Syria
<[link removed]>

“Iraq has called for the closure of a Syrian displacement camp housing tens
of thousands of people with suspected links to ISIS, saying that it has become
a ‘source for terrorism’. Al Hol camp, named after a town near the Iraqi-Syrian
border, is home to people who were taken there after the extremist group's
defeat in Syria in March 2019. ‘Ending the issue of Al Hol camp has become a
top national interest for Iraq,’ Foreign Ministry spokesman Ahmad Sahhaf said.
He called for all countries that have citizens at Al Hol to ‘repatriate them as
soon as possible in order to eventually close the camp’ because it had become
‘a dangerous epicentre’ for ISIS gatherings.”

“The Turkish Army ‘neutralized’ 12 terrorists after PKK/YPG terrorists in
Syria carried out a rocket attack on the Öncüpınar Border Gate area in the
Turkish province of Kilis, the Defense Ministry has stated. No casualties were
reported, while a fire broke out in an empty field where five rockets fell in
the southern province of Kilis. After the attack, security measures were
increased, and a large number of security officials were deployed at the
borderline. Upon the Turkish Army’s determination that the area where the
rockets were launched was in the rural area of Tal Rifat, terrorist elements in
the region were subjected to artillery and multiple rocket launcher fire. In
the attack, 12 terrorists were ‘neutralized,’ the Defense Ministry stated on
June 12. Five were neutralized on early June 12, and seven others on June 11.”

AFP News: South Africa In The Spotlight Over Terror Funding
<[link removed]>

“…Some analysts have suggested that jihadist financing flourished because
South African authorities grew complacent at the lack of visible Islamist
activity. ‘I don't think South Africa realised it. It was the Americans who
said, 'something not okay is going on in your country,’ Hans-Jakob Schindler,
director of the Counter-Extremism Project think-tank, told AFP. ‘The entire
government is now put to task,’ he said. One of the clearest signs something
was amiss came in March this year when the Paris-based Financial Action Task
Force (FATF), a global illicit cash flow watchdog that aims to tackle money
laundering and terrorist financing, placed South Africa on its ‘grey list’ over
gaps in monitoring and stemming illegal financial activities.”
