John, I have an important update on the state of our race, so I wanted to personally reach out:

FIRST, I launched my campaign to represent California in the U.S. Senate, where there are currently no Black women serving today. 

THEN, Fox News and MAGA extremists wasted no time launching a smear campaign against me to stall my momentum. 

NOW, my fundraising numbers go public in just a couple weeks for everyone to see, but right now I'm falling short of what I need to fight back against these extremist attacks and close the fundraising gap to win this race.

With internal polling showing this race is statistically TIED among informed voters, we can't afford to miss a single goal. But with time running out before this crucial deadline, we're on track to fall just short of our mid-month goal. That's why I need to ask:
