American Jews Are Asking If It’s Safe to Pray in Shul
Jerusalem Post / 3-minute read
On Sunday, 69-year-old Warren Lipschutz was shot outside the Young Israel of Greater Miami synagogue in North Miami Beach while waiting for morning services to start. The New York Times Investigates Antisemitism Charges Against the BDS Movement
The New York Times / 4-minute read
As debates about the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions Movement heat up on Capitol Hill, three reporters from The New York Times interviewed American Jews, Israelis, and a top BDS spokesman to explain both sides. They spelled out the three Ds used to distinguish between fair criticism of Israel and antisemitism: does it delegitimize, apply a double standard to or demonize the Jewish state? They also quote BDS co-founder Omar Barghouti, removing the veil from the movement’s ugly true motives. When asked if Jews can have their own state, he replies: “Not in Palestine.” Read what two editors from the Jewish Telegraphic Agency (JTA) had to say about the Times piece and see AJC’s primer Behind the Boycott to understand the history of this duplicitous campaign.
