Update
A letter from Doug White We have been very busy living up to our mission statement of working with communities to build political infrastructure to increase the voice and visibility of rural America. From district wide collaboration efforts to Democratic fundraising dinners to Tri-Pride 2023 to alliance building with west coast agencies to bring resources to Central Washington, we have been working for you! For all of us! What a 501(c)3?
Patsy Whitefoot: Congressional District 4 Representative to the Washington Democrats It is an honor to be able to join and participate in the CD4 Representative to the Washington Dems, Patricia Whitefoot's monthly meeting. Doug White's campaign was the first to unify all the legislative districts and county democratic parties for a single purpose. It is wonderful to see this continuing and the Central Washington Dems working together means that there is no limit to the possibilities.
Tri-Pride 2023 The Tri Cities was not going to have a pride festival this year due to reorganization of the Tri Cities Pride Festival which is the events hosting organization. Rural Americans United immediately recognized that there must be a Pride Festival. The level of aggression towards to the LGBTQ+ community is escalating to the point of violence and death threats in schools, streets and local businesses. Rural Americans United served as the nexus for passionate community members to come together and organize Tri-Pride2023. It will take place on Saturday July 8th at Memorial Park in Pasco from 10am - 4pm. The line up includes a main stage of performers, kids area with bouncy houses, 9 food vendors, a parade with a 135 foot pride flag and more than 40 vendors. Please support by buying a T-shirt, giving a donation or registering to perform, be a vendor or volunteer.
We need your input. We are working on many projects and your feedback on which are most important to you is so very important. Take 2 minutes to complete our poll. Thank you
Hope should never be a prayer that the worst won't happen
Doug White speaking at the Benton County Democrats annual Norm and Shirley Miller fundraising dinner on the topic of HOPE!
We physically, with our sweat, build infrastructure and the Party by providing people, sustainable strategies, organization, office space and technology, investment, media management and skills development. We have listened and learned from hundreds of dedicated democrats, democratic organizations, community organizations, State Party, National Party and others. There is almost no interest in doing the grass roots work of building Democratic infrastructure in rural communities and the small number of passionate volunteers on the front line need help. We are losing to Republican rhetoric and organizing. Believe in your neighbor and invest in your community. We count on your support to grow and build strength in the Party.
