Dear NRDC Action Fund Supporter,

I'm just leaving Denver, where yesterday hundreds of people turned out to
a rally opposing President Trump's latest disastrous anti-environmental
attack — this time on the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA).

I cannot overstate the importance of NEPA, a crucial environmental law
that empowers Americans to speak out against federal projects that would
increase pollution, worsen climate change, or harm our health. We can't
let Trump roll NEPA back.

Earlier in the day, NRDC experts and dozens of other concerned citizens
testified at a public hearing to share how their communities and the
country will be affected if Trump's reckless plan moves forward.

You don't have to live in Denver to make a difference in this fight. The
Trump administration is accepting public comments on its plan to kill NEPA
— and we need as many people as possible to speak out.

[ [link removed] ]This
is an existential fight for environmental justice, democracy, clean air
and water, and our planet — and we need YOU standing with us. Please, make
your voice heard in support of NEPA right away!

The Denver hearing was just one of two public meetings that Trump's
Council on Environmental Quality (CEQ) will hold on their NEPA rollback
plan before it's finalized — the second is happening in Washington, D.C.
on February 25.

But in the meantime, the NRDC Action Fund
and our partners are working together to generate a million public
comments in support of NEPA, and we need all hands on deck for this
campaign. [ [link removed] ]Can we count on you to submit a public comment and then share
this petition with your friends and family?

Thanks for standing with us at this critical moment.

Sincerely,

The Trump administration wants to revoke our right to protect our
communities from dangerous projects like oil and gas pipelines and other
fossil fuel development. Submit a public comment to help save the National
Environmental Policy Act.

Dear NRDC Action Fund Supporter,

We live in a democracy, not a dictatorship.

But right now, the Trump administration is undermining the democratic
process by trying to block the public — people like you and me and our
neighbors — from having a say in big projects that could harm our
environment, our climate, and our health.

Last week, he proposed new rules to weaken the National Environmental
Policy Act (NEPA), a landmark law that empowers Americans to have a voice
against the destructive influence of polluters and hazardous projects like
oil and gas pipelines and other fossil fuel development in their
communities.

Ironically, the administration is required to take public comments on
their misguided efforts to roll back NEPA and silence the public — and we
need you to stand with us and speak out.

[ [link removed] ], this is
urgent. Submit an official public comment rejecting Trump's disastrous
attempt to silence Americans on climate change.

Any careful carpenter knows you measure twice and cut once ... and that's
the idea behind NEPA: Consider the impacts before bulldozing a homeowner's
land for a pipeline or building a highway in a flood zone.

Trump‘s reckless proposal wants to skip the measuring and begin building —
without considering the impacts these projects would have on our climate,
environment, and health.

Anti-environment projects disproportionally impact communities of color
and low-income communities, which are often the very first voices to be
silenced.

Americans deserve to have their voices heard before their families' health
and well-being are put at risk by projects that bring unwanted and
unnecessary pollution and disruption into their communities.

[ [link removed] ]Don't let the Trump administration take away our right to speak out
against oil pipelines and other reckless projects. Submit an official
public comment today and help protect our air, water, and climate.

Polluters have been trying to block public participation in these reviews
since NEPA was signed into law 50 years ago. They finally found a friend
in the White House.

Make no mistake: if the administration tries to implement this dangerous
NEPA rollback, our partner organization NRDC will almost surely challenge
them in court.

At the same time, this disastrous rollback reinforces the need to get
Trump and his pro-polluter allies out of office this November. And the
NRDC Action Fund is working hard to do exactly that.

But the most important thing we can do right now is rally a massive public
outcry by generating hundreds of thousands of comments in opposition to
the Trump administration's move.

, this is an
existential fight for environmental justice and democracy, and to preserve
our planet for future generations. [ [link removed] ]We need you standing with us.

Sincerely,
