As we await Donald Trump’s appearance in court, I have a few thoughts.
It’s high time this national embarrassment faces the consequences of his actions. Photos of classified documents being hidden in a Mar-A-Lago bathroom unfortunately don’t surprise anyone. The question now is, did he share these documents with our enemies?
If there’s one thing we’ve learned from Donald Trump and the traitors who stand with him, it’s that proof of criminal conduct may very well not be enough to stop him.
New research from the University of Chicago found that 12 million Americans believe Trump should be restored to power by violence. His influence still stands, and it must be curbed – or there will be a deadly price to pay.
Trump withstood the country watching him incite an insurrection and facing two impeachments. He now may be facing time in prison, yet remains the GOP frontrunner for 2024.
Clearly the fight is far from over. Donald Trump must not set foot anywhere near the White House ever again, and anyone who has ever betrayed this country to support him MUST be defeated up and down the ballots next year.
I’m running to unseat one of those enablers and Trump apologists. Mike Simpson may not be loud and obnoxious like Marjorie Taylor Greene and Matt Gaetz, but his silence and refusal to hold Trump accountable is every bit as harmful as those two dangerous clowns.

Simpson voted not to impeach President Trump TWICE. His refusal to hold the leader of his party accountable – despite all the alarm bells that have gone off since 2016 – makes GOP reps like Mike Simpson complicit in Trump’s antics and criminal conduct.
Donald Trump finally facing justice is a victory for our country. It says to the world that no one is above the law here.
