Happy Pride Month! This year it’s more important than ever to recognize and celebrate the voices and leaders in the LGBTQ+ community.

We’ve made so much progress over the years to ensure that members of the LGBTQ+ community have the same rights and opportunities as everyone else in this country. However, we must recognize that hate and discrimination still exist.

Just last year, Republican legislatures across the country passed a record number of anti-LGBTQ laws, including bans on books and classroom curriculum. Right-wing extremists will continue to pass outlandish legislation unless we take action to stop them.

That’s why I’m a proud cosponsor of the Equality Act, which would ban discrimination based on sexual orientation.

I promise to always be a champion for LGBTQ+ rights in Washington, but I need your help to ensure my reelection in 2024. Can I count on your support?
