Friend,
I’ve been an ally to many in Congress. From the students to veterans to seniors and everyone in between – I am always ready to fight for everyone’s right to live free, equally, and pursue the American dream.
My most recent allegiance? Swifties.
The Eras Tour recently finished three sold out nights in East Rutherford, NJ. And while I may not be the most avid listener of Taylor Swift’s music, I saw what happened to her fans when they tried to buy tickets. Taylor Swift fans had difficulties buying concert passes in just the latest Ticketmaster fiasco - like Bruce Springsteen fans, and other music fans have faced over the years.
And I am always fighting for consumers, and fighting against corporations who take advantage of the little guy or gal. I always have and I always will.
Enough is enough.
You, Ticketmaster, you're the problem - it’s you!
That is why I have reintroduced and renamed my BOSS and SWIFT ACT to crack down on Ticketmaster and reform the billion dollar live events ticket marketplace, Friend.
For decades, the ticket market has been the Wild West: mammoth, opaque, speculative, and brutally unfair. A fan shouldn’t have to sell a kidney or mortgage a house to see their favorite performer or team. At long last, it is time to create rules for fair ticketing in this country and that’s exactly what we’re going to do.
Our bill is endorsed by major consumer advocates and opposed by Ticketmaster. Sounds about right to me.
Can you join me and music fans in the fight back against corporations like Ticketmaster and other resellers? We’ve let them get away with this for too long, and it’s time we make sure every consumer can see their favorite performers live.

Thank you for standing with us, friend.
