Last week, we celebrated Delia's 40th birthday at Guild Row in Chicago, and it was an absolute blast! If you couldn't make it, here's some of what you missed –

John, it was an amazing opportunity to celebrate all of Delia's hard work – fighting for immigration reform, protecting our working families and supporting local candidates.

We were honored to meet so many residents who are just as passionate and motivated about change in our communities as Delia is!

Delia Ramirez has dedicated her life and career to advocating for working families. She is an outstanding community leader with experience as CEO of community organizations and has created countless alliances in our communities. As the daughter of Guatemalan immigrants, Delia's values are rooted in effort and service to others.

As the founder and former director of the Center for Changing Lives, chair of the executive board for the Latin United Community Housing Association (LUCHA) and the Logan Square Neighborhood Association (LSNA), Delia has worked for solutions to many complex problems such as affordable housing, education, and criminal justice.

In 2018, Delia ran for and was elected to the House of Representatives in Illinois' 4th District. Since then, she has passed legislation expanding affordable housing, Medicaid coverage for seniors regardless of immigration status, and creating a Chicago school board.

Delia fights every day to break the social obstacles that she and many women face. Her passion is to guide and empower women to achieve leadership opportunities in all sectors.
