Happy Pride Month, John! This is a time to celebrate our LGBTQ+ community as well as pause to recognize the work that still needs to be done to reach true equality for all Americans.
Across the country, we’ve seen an increase in attacks against the rights of LGBTQ+ folks. Here in Maine, we’re fortunate to have protections against discrimination based on sexual orientation, but unfortunately, these same protections do not always extend to Mainers outside of our state.
Jared believes that no one should be discriminated against because of who they are and who they love – that’s why he was proud to be an original cosponsor of the Equality Act when it was last introduced, and why groups like EqualityMaine support him.
