Governor Murphy knows how important the value of education is. He worked hard to put himself through college with part-time jobs and student loans — and, thanks to that hard work and a lot of luck, he made the American Dream work for him. 

Now, he’s working to ensure all New Jersey students have access to the same opportunities he did. That’s what the American Dream is all about: ensuring you can do better than your parents and your children can do better than you.  

That’s why Governor Murphy’s budget proposal contains historic investments in education, from pre-K to college. He’s adding almost a billion dollars in direct aid for K-12 schools, over $100 million to advance the goal of universal pre-K, as well as expanding eligibility for college affordability programs. 

All of this and more with no new taxes or fees.
