Hi, Friend!

Greetings from your local chapter of the Democratic Socialists of America!

As you may know, local DSA chapters like ours receive only a small fraction of the dues that we all pay to the national office.  Here in Ventura County, we want to expand our presence in the community and do more to fight against corporate greed and government corruption.

We hope you’ve noticed the increase in our activity in the last 6 months - averaging 2 or more actions per month.  But, to continue these actions, we need your help.  We want to continue to raise our profile by emphasizing democratic socialist education and focusing on the urgent need to make changes to combat climate change!  

In the next few months, we would like to make an impact in our community by:

• tabling and promoting environmental justice at Earth Day
• raising awareness and ending the stigma against AIDS during the AIDS Walk
• hosting and participating in more public events such as Community Bike Rides and parades across the county
• engaging and connecting with students by tabling at our community colleges

Please donate whatever you are able - $20, $50 or $100 - to help meet our $500 goal.  Any amount is greatly appreciated - so surprise us and help spread democratic socialism throughout Ventura County today.
