Hi John,

Wow - thank you to every single one of you who responded to our campaign survey last week!

I’ve been blown away by the thousands of replies we received and your dedication, passion and commitment to making sure we keep making progress by returning a Labour Government in 2020.

This month I’m going to be sharing our campaign strategy with all of you, but before then, I wanted to share a few of the key things that came through over and over again in people's responses to our campaign survey.

It won’t be a surprise that thousands of you mentioned Jacinda. We all know we have a fantastic Leader who is able to connect with people with authenticity and empathy. We saw that in the last campaign, and she’s shown it time and time again over the last two years - often in some of the most challenging circumstances.

Secondly, a lot of you talked about the good progress we’ve made over the last two years, and how important it is to communicate this again and again during our campaign. From running a strong economy, to building thousands of state houses and taking mental health seriously, you’re proud of our progress and want to see us run on it.

Finally, thousands of you made it clear how important it is to stay away from negative campaigning and focus instead on running a positive, factual and transparent election campaign. What really stuck out overall was the sense of pride we all feel in running a positive campaign at a time when politics around the world can too often feel overwhelmingly negative.

As I said, this month I’ll be incorporating your feedback into our campaign strategy and reporting back to you. Until then though, you can check out our election day countdown to see in real time how many days we have left to campaign our hearts out until September 19th!

Thank you again-
