John — how did we get to this point?
Republicans have had multiple chances to course correct.
They could’ve rejected Donald Trump from the beginning. They could’ve chosen to stand up for our democracy after the January 6 attacks. They could’ve worked to protect our fundamental rights after the Supreme Court struck down Roe v. Wade.
Instead, the GOP is choosing to double-down on election lies and conspiracy theories.
I got into politics long before Donald Trump was a Republican and Ron DeSantis was even born. I remember a time when we worked together to solve issues. Nowadays, the modern Republican Party has shown that the only thing they care about is getting more power.
This is getting out of hand, and frankly, it could get even worse if Republicans take back the Senate. We cannot let Mitch McConnell flip the two seats needed to retake the Senate majority and grind ALL of our progress to a halt.
